Isuzu D-Max Named ‘Best Workhorse Pickup’ for 13th Year Running at Trade Van Driver Awards

Isuzu UK is celebrating another proud moment as the Isuzu D-Max secures the title of ‘Best Workhorse Pickup’ at the 2025 Trade Van Driver Awards—marking an incredible 13th consecutive win in this category.

The Trade Van Driver Awards are regarded as one of the most respected honours in the light commercial vehicle sector, often dubbed the “Oscars” of the trade van world. Unique in their format, these awards combine the expertise of seasoned industry journalists with feedback from real working drivers—owner-operators and small fleet users who live and work with these vehicles every day.

Matthew Eisenegger, Editor of Trade Van Driver, noted:

“Trade Van Driver Magazine prides itself on offering a true reflection of the thoughts and feelings of its readership. Now in their thirteenth year, it is great to see some products taking the accolade for a 13th time, as well as new products scoring a first win.”

The judging panel also commented:

“No prizes are offered for those who guessed that the mighty D-Max would clinch this prize again, as it has done every year since the Trade Van Driver Awards began 13 years ago. While Isuzu faces some strong and capable opposition, the judges still felt that this truck’s mixture of tough performance, splendid standard spec and rock bottom prices were again enough to battle through to the top place. We had a D-Max on test for nine months recently and were left convinced that while coming close, none of the rivals could quite match it.”

George Wallis, Head of Marketing at Isuzu UK, added:

“We’re over the moon to see the D-Max win for the thirteenth time running at the Trade Van Driver Awards. This isn’t just an on the hoof lucky streak – it’s a testament to the unbridled capability, durability and reliability of every model. The Isuzu D-Max is the ultimate workhorse pick-up. And clearly, our customers love to take the reins.”

This recognition builds on what has already been a standout year for the Isuzu D-Max in 2025, with several other awards already under its belt:

  • Best RangeOverlander 4×4 (Pick-Up of the Year Awards)
  • Best Back-UpOverlander 4×4 (Pick-Up of the Year Awards)

These ongoing accolades reflect Isuzu’s commitment to producing a dependable, hard-working, and exceptionally well-equipped pick-up. The D-Max continues to set the standard in the commercial sector—trusted by tradespeople, farmers, fleet managers, and adventurers alike.
